Choosing the right band for your wedding or event is one of the more important decisions you can make. A good professional band can make the day, however a band that is unsuitable can do the opposite.

If bands are offering discounts for immediate bookings at peak times this would indicate there is little demand for their services and clients must beware of this, you really do get what you pay for.

Some bands tend to list their musical qualifications, this has some relevance, however there is no substitute for years spent learning your craft in front of a live audience, this teaches you many things about  presentation and quality required to please just about everybody, and surprise a few! Most members of bands have of course been to college and the ones that haven’t have more than likely been working as professionals instead, we dont reel off our individual CV’s, we prefer to let the unit speak for itself and receive work on a reputation earned.

So, spend time, ask questions, and regard the price and availability as an indication of quality. Make the right decision and above all enjoy your day.
